F.A.Q.

Barista Tyler Olson at work

Where do you purchase your coffee from?
We purchase all our coffee from Tim Wendelboe‘s micro roastery in Oslo.

Is your coffee source a roaster or a wholesale distributor? How fresh is the coffee?
As a micro roastery, Tim Wendelboe has the advantage of being able to roast specifically for each order.  We place an individual order for each event we cater providing you with the freshest possible beans.  The coffee used at your event will have been roasted just a few days prior.

What kind of espresso machine(s) do you have available?
We use a Rancilio Epoca machine.  The Epoca is a professional grade machine which allows us to make drinks as fast as we need.  The machine has a single group head which makes it perfect for on-location events with limited space.

Is your machine mounted on a cart? What does it look like?
In order to be flexible, we have not mounted our machine on a cart.  It can sit on any regular table.  The machine is red with stainless steel detail (see image)

If your machine is not on a cart does it require a special table? Do you provide it?
Any table will work fine, although we will need at least 1 meter of table space. This is the one item (in addition to power) you will need to provide.

What are your electrical  and water requirements?
We will bring our own distilled water.  The espresso machine and grinder require a regular 240V style plug.

Will you offer nonfat or low fat milk? Hot chocolate?
Yes, we will offer Lettmelk and soy milk as well as the standard Helmelk for all milk based drinks.  Yes, we also offer hot chocolate.

What Italian syrups do you provide for making flavored lattes and mochas?
We have Caramel, French Vanilla, White Chocolate and Hazelnut.  We can consider others upon request.  Our mochas are made using a mixture of chocolate powder and syrup.

If we require your barista to stay longer can that be arranged?
Yes.  The cost varries depending on the number of guests.  Pricing can be seen here.

Do you charge by the hour or by the number of guests?
All packages are based on a minimum service of two hours with the price dependent on the number of guests. You can view all pricing on this page.

Do you offer all your drinks in decaf?
We do not currently offer decaf espresso.  We do however, offer Chai Latte, Hot Chocolate, Steamers (steamed milk with italian syrup) and fruit tea – all of which are caffeine free

Do you offer whip cream?
Yes

Are there any special equipment load in requirements?
I think we can get to anywhere people can get to.

How is the barista dressed?
The barista will be dressed in dark pants with a long dark brown apron and a black button up shirt.

What does your espresso bar look like and how much space does it take up?
The espresso bar takes up around one to two meters of space although we can make due with one meter if needed.  In addition to the espresso machine we will also have a grinder, italian syrups, sugar, spoons, cups etc.  We will cover the table in a black table cloth.  You can see images of the set-up at the top of this page as well as the welcome page and contact page.
